This one is the best she's had in a while, I'd say. I think she just has put so much thought into her werewolf characters' background. They're so complex and so human. This book deals heavily with rape and the healing process and long-term effects surrounding it, so it may be something that many people find too uncomfortable a subject to read. But she does a great job handling it.
Thoughts of a nerdy feminist
My first and truest love is fantasy, but I dabble in just about any genre. Not everything I like is 100% perfect when examined through a feminist lens, but I am a firm believer that it's all right to like problematic things, as long as you can acknowledge what is problematic about it and not be a jerk about it.
