I found this very readable and enjoyable. The main character is very human and flawed. The reason it only has three stars is because it was just so incomplete. It was a piece of story, and didn't end remotely conclusively. It wasn't just a story that had some loose ends to come back to later. That doesn't bug me. It was just purely incomplete, and that is incredibly annoying. This author used to write good books that were 500 pages or so long. This was barely 300 and, as I said, wasn't complete at all. Really disappointing. I hope the next book goes somewhere.
