Victory of Eagles - Naomi Novik I'm more and more impressed, the more of this series I read. This was definitely the most depressing of the series so far, as we got to see all the ramifications of Laurence and Temeraire's (completely justified) act of treason from the previous book. It was incredibly sad, to me, to see so many people they cared about affected by their actions, despite the fact that they tried not to involve anyone else, in hopes of keeping them protected.

I loved finally getting to read from Temeraire's perspective. And I really enjoyed the new dragons introduced from the breeding grounds. Particularly Perscitia. I'd love to see more of her, although that doesn't look very likely for the next book.
