Thoughts of a nerdy feminist

My first and truest love is fantasy, but I dabble in just about any genre. Not everything I like is 100% perfect when examined through a feminist lens, but I am a firm believer that it's all right to like problematic things, as long as you can acknowledge what is problematic about it and not be a jerk about it.

Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison - Piper Kerman

I haven't posted in forever, but I'm still around. It's just really slow going, the book I'm currently reading. I'm enjoying it, but it's just, well, it's a Malazan book, so those familiar may understand. I need to try to hurry and finish it, though, so I can read our book club pick in time for the next meeting. For that we'll be reading 'Orange is the New Black,' which will be one of my very RARE non-fiction reads.
